In Loving Memory of Michelle LeClair
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share that our mother, Michelle Leclair, gained her wings yesterday, June 13th, at 1:04 am. June 13th is also our memere’s (our mom’s mother) heavenly birthday, and we strongly feel that this was no coincidence in timing. We take peace in knowing that divine timing has reunited their souls on such a significant date.
As many may know, our mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer in September 2020. By March 2021, we rejoiced when she was in remission. But just a few months later, the cancer aggressively made it’s return and unfortunately, it’s stay.
Over the course of this difficult journey, she has endured multiple surgeries, chemo treatments, countless ER and hospital visits. Yet, she braved through each and every day of her fight with hope in her heart and smile on her face.
Mom faced extreme adversity and hardship throughout her life, but yet her heart remained so kind, so loving, and so gentle. She made friends everywhere, even if she was sick in bed in a hospital room. Her creativity and sense of fashion turned heads. Her humor brought belly laughs and joy to the soul. She was unapologetically herself and had an extraordinarily, vibrant, and vivacious energy that will live on in each of us forever.
We are beyond grateful for the amazing support we have received from fundraisers and meal trains organized by friends and co-workers throughout her diagnosis to support with medical costs, transportation to appointments, and more. However, my siblings and I were not prepared for the shockingly high costs of a funeral.
During this difficult time, we are reaching out to our community for help to honor our mother’s life and legacy in the way she deserves. Any amount, or sharing, will truly help. Additional amounts if any will go towards helping myself and my oldest brother as soon-to-be guardians support my youngest siblings, who are all full-time students.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for the support, kind words, and love.
