It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beautiful Michaela, who left this world at the age of 25. Michaela was one of those rare souls whose light filled every room she entered. Her charisma, laughter, smile and free spirit were unforgettable, and anyone who had the privilege of knowing her felt it.

Michaela had a deep love for travel and discovering new places, cultures, and experiences. She approached life with an open mind and an adventurous heart. But more than anything, Michaela treasured the people closest to her. Her family meant everything to her — her parents, her sister Stephanie, her brothers Matt and Chris, her grandparents, and her beloved nieces and nephew. She carried their love with her wherever she traveled.

Just as meaningful were the friendships she built along the way. Michaela loved her closest friends wholeheartedly. They were her greatest joy. She was always present for the people she loved with loyalty, warmth, and an endless capacity for care.

With the consent of the Hughes family, this go fund me was created to support the upcoming financial hardship of bringing Michaela back to the United States. Any contribution will directly go to her family along with funeral costs.
