In Loving Memory of Michael Lee Dent

On February 15th, my family suffered the unimaginable heartbreaking loss of my stepdad, Mike.

Mike came into our lives when I was about 9 or 10 years old, ready to be the father figure for me and my two brothers. One of the very first things he brought into our lives was his first love- the desert, specifically Glamis. I grew up in the back of the dune buggy riding through the sand dunes, learning how to ride a quad, racing down the drags, and spending countless nights around the fire with our desert family. These truly are some of my best childhood memories.

On February 15, 2025, around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, Mike was in a horrible dune buggy accident and passed away in his most favorite place in the world, surrounded by people who love him.

My family and I have had the most amazing outpouring of support in the wake of Mike’s passing and it has truly meant the world ❤️ We have had so many people reach out asking if there is a way they can financially contribute to help my amazing mom moving forward with his Celebration of Life and any other unexpected expenses, so my family decided to move forward with the creation of this gofundme.

Michael was so many things in this life: Son, brother, father, friend, hard worker, lover of all things Glamis….. but truly the most important of all, a person who was deeply loved by so many. He loved my mom and our family deeply, and I am honored to call myself his daughter.

I want to say thank you in advance to anyone who feels compelled to contribute in helping my mom during this extremely hard time. I know that Michael is watching over us all and I hope that he found sand dunes in heaven. We love you, Mike, forever and always ️
