In Loving Memory of Michael Gadberry

Most of you know me as Voxnee. Many of you have been following the story of my father on TikTok and have wanted to help. So I am making this GoFundMe, because I feel so overwhelmed. I am not a huge content creator and I don't bring in a lot of money, my father's unexpected passing, has left me scrambling to find ways to pay for his funeral.

THE STORY

On December 3, 2024, Michael Gadberry, went to a ball game at MSU (MSU vs. Alabama), he was SO excited that he got tickets and posted his excitement on Facebook and posted pictures of the game. He even made a joke in this light hearted, joy filled post. However, that was the last anyone heard from him.

On December 4th, during my LiveStream, my Grandmother called. I let it ring through while I told everyone I needed to go, within moments I called her back. She informed me, my father was missing. He had gone to the game and never came home. He always let's my Granny know when he is going to be late or staying the night somewhere because he lives with her and helps out.

So, I started calling and texting his phone, messaged him on Facebook and even commented on his Facebook post about the game. I desperately called hospitals around the area, with no luck.

For HOURS we looked for him, eventually calling the wonderful lady that gave my father the tickets. She helped me get in touch with MSU police and they were absolutely wonderful. It was because of them, we found the where abouts of my father. After they did an investigation.

After 48 hours of treating this like a missing persons case, I finally got, the dreaded call from the Medical Examiner.

My father, passed away on Dec. 3, we did not find out until Dec. 5, 2024. He had a heart attack on the way home from the game and veered in to oncoming traffic. The crash was mildd and the other man had minor injuries, but the heart attack took my father before medical could arrive.

I do still wonder why Dallas Police did not contact us that night. The car was registered under my grandmother's name (the detective didn't even know that until I told him on the 9th), all information was in the glove box. Why was my father deceased for 2 days and no one was contacted? I thank MSU campus police SO MUCH for finding him.

THE FUNDS

My father did not have life insurance and around the holidays it makes savingg money even harder.

With him being across state lines we are having to pay 2 funeral homes and "transport" costs.

Texas Funeral Home: $4.850

Transport: $700

Kentucky Funeral Home: $4,000

My Aunt, did pay the Kentucky funeral home, so we could have the funeral but I do need to pay her back, so $4,000 will be going to paying her back.

Anything over the amount will be going to a Tombstone and any other final expenses
