In loving memory of Michael Dermo
Donation protected
With a heavy heart, we have announced on Friday, February 25th; our beloved father has passed away unexpectedly due to heart complications.
Michael Dermo was a family man raising two daughters (myself Shawna Arce) and my sister Michelle Fox. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 30 years, Lisa Dermo our mother. He will also miss many memorable moments as he leaves behind four beautiful grandchildren: Alexander turned 11 years old today, Leland 9, Blake 3, and Julia 1 1/2 years old. His family meant the world to him, and his eldest grandchildren already miss him dearly. He had two son-in-laws Brian Arce and Kevin Fox that were so important to him, and he was so proud of them both. He knew that these two gentlemen were amazing men that have taken care of his daughters, supported them in their careers and are raising their own beautiful families. He was truly proud of his daughters and grandchildren and will be looking down on all of us every day.
He is survived by his siblings: John Dermo, Tricia Bozin, and Joanne Burt. He had a large family including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss him dearly.
Anyone that knew Mike knew that his personality could light up an entire room. He had a smile that was so contagious and a sense of humor that made you laugh even on your toughest of days. He would always lend a helping hand to a neighbor, a friend in need, a family member, someone he just met or someone in the line at the grocery store. If you knew Mike, you knew he was an amazing person to know. His charisma and character were what stood out to most. He had always shared his life stories and experiences with so many and that is what most people will remember him by.
He had a passion for grilling, entertaining, and corn hole! Anyone that knew him knew that he would measure the distance between the corn hole boards to an exact science to ensure the most accurate game as possible! His aptitude in working with hands, home improvements, working on cars, working on machines was what he had a passion for. He had a huge passion just for teaching others and showing them easier ways of doing things in life. Something that most of us have experienced and will greatly miss.
We greatly appreciate all the love and support during this incredibly difficult time. The outpouring of calls, texts, meals have been so wonderful, and we truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The support will be able to assist my mother with our father’s memorial services and to assist her with financial responsibilities in this time. We appreciate all your thoughts, support, love, and prayers during this time.
We miss you so much Dad and know you are already watching over us!
With Love,
