It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Melissa Ruth Tibbetts, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose life was filled with love, adventure, and a passion for living life to the fullest.

Melissa's unexpected passing on October 14 2026 has left her family heartbroken and facing the difficult task of saying goodbye far too soon. With her life established in Georgia and her family spread across several states, we are working together to honor her memory and bring her home to Minnesota, where she will be laid to rest surrounded by the love of her family.

We have established this GoFundMe to help ease the unexpected financial burden of Melissa’s passing, including funeral arrangements, travel expenses for family members, a memorial service, and her final resting place in Minnesota, where loved ones can gather to honor and celebrate her life. During this heartbreaking time, our hope is to relieve some of the financial stress placed on her son, Hunter, and our family, allowing us to focus on remembering Missy and giving her the meaningful, beautiful, and dignified farewell she so deserves.
