My name is Jennifer Meloni, and I am the aunt of Mauro Emanuelle Meloni.

Mauro was born in January 2011 with two congenital heart defects. At just 8 days old, he underwent open-heart surgery and received a pacemaker. Throughout his young life, he faced numerous surgeries and medical challenges with incredible strength and courage.

On June 13, Mauro was working outside when he suddenly collapsed. He suffered a severe abnormal heart arrhythmia that led to cardiac arrest. Despite hours of heroic efforts by medical personnel to save him, Mauro sadly passed away.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is at peace.

Mauro was a kind, loving, hardworking, and intelligent young man who was deeply loved by everyone who knew him. His smile, determination, and caring spirit touched countless lives, and he will be missed beyond words.
