In Loving Memory of Mauricio Aguilar Lopez

Mauricio was a loving father, a devoted husband, and a beloved member of every community he touched. Regardless if he knew you for years or for just one minute, he instantly made you feel like a part of his family. His personality could light up a room and his presence was larger than life. If you ever met Mauricio, you can bet that you wouldn't forget the beautiful soul that he was.
Unfortunately we lost Mauricio on May 2nd at the young age of 52 years old due to a heart attack. This was an unexpected and shocking loss for our family. He leaves behind a loving wife, Elizabeth, and the two loves of his life, Alexander and Alejandra Aguilar. Mauricio was born in Cali, Colombia and immigrated to the United States in 1986 in hopes of a better future. He spent most of his time working to provide for his family and all of his spare time was dedicated to his family. He devoted his time as a caregiver for all of his family members, including his mother, Maria Elisa, until she passed away this past January.
Everything Mauricio did was in hopes of providing enough support to give his children the motivation to achieve their dreams, regardless of how big. Both Alexander and Alejandra are carrying out his dream and legacy as they are both graduating from their prospective universities at the end of May. They are both achieving this milestone that Mauricio has been awaiting all these years and it is lamentable that he could not be present to witness their graduation ceremonies.
As is often common in many households, Mauricio was the breadwinner and sole monetary provider within his household. Not only was this an unexpected loss, but none of us were prepared for the financial burden that was to come. We are asking for your help to aid my mother get through this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go towards funeral and memorial expenses as well as help with momentary day to day expenses as Elizabeth is disabled and has an extremely low fixed income. We thank you all in advance for any and all support, whether monetary, emotional, or physical, given to us during this given circumstance.
