Help Us Create A Living Memory For Mason Cusuman

October 23, 2021:

We are deeply saddened to share with you the loss of our beloved Mason, a son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend. Mason was 28 years old.

Mason’s life would seem too short to many, but for those who were so blessed to have crossed his path they would understand that the imprint he left on our hearts exceeds the quality of time he stayed. Mason was a kind, passionate and thoughtful soul. No matter what was going on in his life, he always made himself available for his friends and family.

A gentle giant standing at 6’2”Mason always looked out for the underdog. He truly enjoyed being a coach for the special Olympics. As one of the more popular kids in high school, Mason had a gift of making everyone feel inclusive. Leading by example, he always included the underdog at the school dances. His actions inspired everyone who knew him. After high school, Mason went on to graduate from West Virginia University.

Mason loved going to the gym and playing sports. Even more, Mason absolutely loved watching Sunday Eagles games with his extended family. He was exceptionally close to his mother Joell, brother Bronson, and sister Alexa. His siblings, his uncle Larry, and cousins (Brandyn, Blake, and Bailee) were his best friends. He would never miss an opportunity to laugh, cry or be of help to them whenever needed.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for your help in accomplishing something absolutely amazing….

The Jewish National Fund gives the opportunity to place an eternal memory in Israel for your loved one by planting trees. Mason never attended a birthright trip to Israel. He always talked about if he did go to Israel he would want to see it all with his mother Joell on a private tour with Savta (mother of our dearest friend Shirlee Peretz).

Our goal is to raise this money so that a grove of 1000+ trees will be planted in the land of Israel in memory of Mason Cusuman.

“Your life was a blessing,
your memory a treasure.
You are loved beyond words
and missed beyond measure.”
