Hello all, thank you so much for clicking this link.
There are no words. It is with incredible sadness that we mourn the loss of Mary Lynne (Lynne/Mel) O’Neill (Michener), a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and girlfriend, who left this spinning rock unexpectedly at the young age of 52.
Lynne tragically passed away on the night of September 12 after a short, unexpected stay in the hospital. Lynne was an incredible person. She had a contagious laugh and a smile that would light up every room. She was a leader - she started her own business in October 2021 and was absolutely killing it. She was always a bit mischievous, encouraging others to join in on the fun and not to take life too seriously. Lynne was world-renowned for not holding back her opinions and had a knack for telling it like it is. She was always a “bit dramatic,” although she’d never admit it so leaving this world unexpectedly is as dramatic as it gets.
She leaves behind a very dysfunctional family that she was very proud of, especially her children, the beautiful and strong Margaret (Kieran) and the kind-hearted and handsome Patrick (Stephanie). She will be terribly missed by her children, her sisters Sarah (Nick) and Kate (Chris), her brother Gary, her partner Matt, her nieces and nephews, Nathan (Brittany), Ben (Jessica), Jacob (Caitlyn), Emily (Jake), Hannah (Jeffrey), and Cassandra, and every person she met along the way.
Unfortunately, Lynne did not have life insurance, leaving her kids to handle her affairs. All funds will be provided to Maggie and Patrick to assist with financial obligations, including legal fees, service expenses, household bills, travel expenses and grief counselling services. We sincerely appreciate your generosity. We truly appreciate any help you can provide.
The family hopes to host a celebration of life in the new year in Lynne’s home province of Ontario. More details to come in the new year.
