Update:
Hello everyone. It’s Amy. I finally received notice from Arlington. Mark’s service will be December 29 at 10 am. I know you must arrive 45 minutes prior. As of today, the limit is 100 attendees. It is a graveside service with military honors. You can find any information you need on the Arlington website. Attend if you can. Anyone is welcome to pay their respects. I am just trying to hold it together enough to get through the day. Also, don’t take offense if I didn’t inform you personally. I can’t right now. I can only worry about me and mine at the moment. Thank you. Good night.

On September 11th many hearts around the world broke when Mark passed away.
The Witmer family has always been the family that people have leaned on. Let's show them that there are people world wide for them to lean on.
We owe Mark the dedication to hold his family up when they need it most just as he has done for so many.
If you were lucky enough to know Mark, you knew a gentle big hearted giant. Mark's service and love for his country spoke volumes to the work ethic and dedication he had.
He always made sure that his wife, children and family knew that he loved and cared about them.
Mark traveled the world. He turned strangers to friends and friends to family. To know Mark was to know unconditional love.
To stop and think of how many people he has encountered who have gotten to hear about his family, some of his life stories or a just a listening ear for someone when they needed it.
Mark's military career never stopped him from putting his family first. Time with family and friends is something the Witmer's made sure to do.
Mark was the type of man you would want to sit and have a conversation with your child about choices in life. He always had the fatherly advice that needed to be heard.
I pray we never forget the "MARK" he has left on each and everyone of us.
