In memorial of Mario Roland Clough
September 3, 1955- February 11, 2021
The Clough Family received some hard news in January 2021. Mario was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver Cancer and it was estimated that he had a month to live. This news was heartbreaking and shocking. It is the kind of news you can never really be prepared for. A month seemed so impossibly short, but unfortunately, 17 days after diagnosis, Mario passed away. Thankfully, he passed peacefully in his sleep at home in Grass Valley, CA, with a house full of family, friends, grandkids, and love.
Mario is survived by his wife, Linda Clough, his five children Lauren Miller (Spouse Stephen Miller), Eric Clough (Girlfriend Carol Choi), Jessica Ash (Spouse Murray Ash), Kristie Roberts (Spouse David Roberts) and Travis Clough (Spouse Kate Clough), and his four grandchildren, Owen Miller (7), Gemma Miller(5), Emmett Miller(2) and Ruby Roberts (1 month).
Mario was the owner and head farmer of Lucchesi Vineyards and Winery, his dream job. Mario held the property and the vineyard together. There are big shoes to fill at Lucchesi to keep things operational. 2020, as for most small businesses, was a really hard year for Lucchesi. Linda is now taking on the weight of the business, while mourning her sweetheart of 37 years.
The Clough Family, and especially Linda, could really use some help. This is hardly the ideal time, if there could be any, for sudden funeral costs and time off for bereavement. Any donation would be so helpful in giving Linda a reprieve during these trying times. Thank you!
