In Loving Memory of Mario Barrientos

With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of our beloved Mario Barrientos, who left us far too soon on the morning of September 2, 2025, at just 28 years old.

Mario was one of those rare souls who could offer strength and softness in the same breath. While he may have come off as serious at first, anyone who truly knew him saw his goofy, lighthearted spirit. He had a big, gentle heart and a deep love for his pets, his people, and the world around him.

He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need—no matter the hour. He was our shelter in the storm, always there without question, without hesitation. And now, as we try to navigate this immense loss, we hope to give him the peaceful, loving farewell he deserves.

Because Mario was so young, we never imagined needing to prepare for something like this.

We’re received actual costs for the funeral, memorial and burial now. Funeral and memorial arrangements alone are about 12k. The plot of land and full cost of burial is 28k. We don’t seek to meet our goal, but everything and anything at all is a major help. All funds raised will go directly toward these expenses.

Con profundo dolor, compartimos la inesperada partida de nuestro querido Mario Barrientos, quien nos dejó demasiado pronto la mañana del 2 de septiembre de 2025, a la edad de solo 28 años.

Mario era una de esas almas especiales que combinaban fuerza y ternura de una forma única. Aunque a veces parecía serio, quienes lo conocían bien sabían de su lado juguetón y su espíritu ligero. Tenía un corazón grande y bondadoso, y un amor inmenso por sus mascotas, por su gente y por la vida misma.

Era el tipo de persona que nunca dudaba en ayudar, sin importar la hora ni la situación. Era nuestro refugio en la tormenta, siempre presente, siempre dispuesto. Ahora, en medio de este dolor tan grande, queremos despedirlo con el amor y la paz que se merece.

Debido a lo joven que era Mario, nunca pensamos en tener que enfrentar algo así tan pronto. Estimamos los costos funerarios y del memorial en aproximadamente $12,000. Todo lo recaudado será destinado directamente a estos gastos.
