In loving memory of Marie Thomas

Tragically on the 20th November, Our hearts were completely shattered when our mum went to bed after work one evening and just didn’t wake up in the morning.

Mother to 3 girls and a boy, nanny to 4 current grandchildren and another on the way, adopted mum to so many others over the years, she was our entire world. She spent years working harder than anyone I ever met, building her business ‘Absolute Cleaning Riverland’ from nothing into a thriving business full of her best friends as she referred to them. They weren’t clients to her, she loved them all. She bought them gifts, she sacrificed for them. She genuinely cared about each and every one of them. And they cared about her too.

90% of the day she would be on the phone. Just chatting away to someone who needed an ear while she continued to work, and a trip to the shop for bread would take over an hour after she always found someone she knew to stop and talk to.

the world certainly becomes a little darker without her and her infectious personality.

We are creating this go fund me, as a way for all those who loved and supported our mother to contribute in their own way to her sending off and any further fees associated with laying her to rest. the more money raised, the bigger the send off we can give her. And believe me, we could not raise enough to give her the sending off she truly deserves.

Our world was completely shattered when we received the news. But judging by the love and support of all those who knew her, all those who have sent their condolences, shared their stories of their time with our mum. Their lives are shattered too.

As hard as this is to say right now while we are overcome with grief, Mum would not want us to mourn her death, but rather celebrate the life she lived, the love she had for her family, her friends, her animals and life itself.

Rest easy mum. We will never forgot you, or the amazing selfless woman you were.

mums funeral has now been confirmed for 11am on the 18th December at Riverland Funerals Berri.
