In Loving Memory of Maricela Silva: Help with Funeral Costs

Early on the morning of July 27th Maricela received a kidney transplant for which she had been waiting nine years. The next morning in recovery she suffered a series of strokes. She lost all executive function, and we faced a heart-wrenching decision that ultimately led to her being removed from life support.

Maricela immigrated to the United States from Romita, Mexico, with nothing but dreams of a better future. Over the years, she built a life filled with love and laughter, raising her four children—Oscar, Jonathan, Aldrycke, and Jennifer—with unwavering dedication. Her generosity knew no bounds; she always extended a helping hand to anyone in need, though she preferred not to boast about her good deeds. To her, actions spoke louder than words. We hope that the generosity she put out into the world can come back to her now.

In this moment of sorrow, we find ourselves confronting an overwhelming financial burden. The costs associated with her funeral arrangements are far beyond what we can manage on our own.
