In Loving Memory of Maria Salerno

It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Maria Salerno after complications due to COVID-19 on April 12th, 2020.  To have known her was to love her.  

This GoFundMe page is meant to help alleviate some of the financial pressure her only child, Mariacarla Perrone, will encounter during this time of mourning.  

The money will not only go towards funeral expenses, but also to help Mariacarla continue to maintain the beautiful home she and her mother were so excited to finally purchase.

A message from her only child, Mariacarla Perrone:

My heart will be forever broken my Mom was not just my Mom, she was both parents in one. Despite the many obstacles she encountered in her life,she always persevered and did so with so much grace. She was the most determined person I knew. I guess you know where I get it from. She would always tell me to believe in myself because she did, wholeheartedly. She’s my best friend, my confidant, my biggest supporter, my conscience....my person. A bond like ours is not common and I am grateful for all the beautiful memories that will need to last me my entire life. I promise I will do my best to make you proud and that our souls will always be together until we meet again one day because you are forever a part of me, the best part.

I don’t know how to do life without you. I already miss talking to you. I can’t believe I’m never going to hear your voice, your laugh, or see you smile. I’m never going to get to watch hallmark movies with you again or cook together or open presents Christmas morning. All the big moments and little moments were so special because you made everything better. I can’t help but be sad that you won’t be there the day I get married or when I have kids, but I know you will stay with me and continue to guide me in spirit. There are so many things I wish I’d asked you and so many things I thought we’d have more time to do.

You’re my strength, my rock, and the one thing in my life I knew I could always depend on no matter what. Thank you for being the worlds greatest mom.

Your time was cut short and that is something I’m not sure I will ever understand or accept but it’s no surprise to me that you left this earth on the holiest of days...Easter Sunday. May your soul rest in peace my sweet angel . I love you, Mom. Always & Forever.
