Hi, my name is Tabitha, and I am raising funds to help cover my grandmother Maria “Mary” Pipes’ funeral services and cremation. Although she was my grandmother, she raised me from the age of two and will always be my mother in every way that truly mattered.

My grandmother—who many knew simply as Mary Pipes—was one of the strongest and most unforgettable people you could ever meet. To many, she was the iconic Truant Officer chasing after rebellious kids in her stilettos, never afraid to stand her ground. She was tough, fearless, and full of fire. To us, she was our rock—the greatest mother, grandmother, and wife we could have ever asked for.

Mary fought hard until the very end of her life. An infection ultimately took her from us, but it never took her strength or her love for her family. Throughout her life, she constantly put her children and grandchildren before herself, making countless sacrifices to ensure we were taken care of. One of the biggest sacrifices she made was giving up her own funeral package in 2010 when my Uncle Mark passed away. She never had the chance to purchase another one.

Now that she has passed, our family is coming together to raise the funds needed to give her the celebration of life she truly deserves. She gave everything she had to make others happy, often without hesitation or complaint. We want to honor her legacy, her strength, and her love in the best way possible.
