It’s with a heavy heart, that we announce the passing of my grandpa, Manuel Figueroa. He helped raise me, guided me, and loved me in ways that made me who I am today. He was not just my grandpa, he raised me like a father, and he was my best friend. Losing him has been heartbreaking. It is painful as my great grandma have to experience her own son pass, leaving back his wife, his kids, and all his grandkids.
He was supposed to come home the day he passed. After being away from home for over 5 months. We were so excited to get everything ready for him to come home. We ordered a hospital bed, set up his breathing machine, and prepped our home to make him the most comfortable and safe. We were counting down the hours until we could bring him home. Nothing the night before gave us any sign that this would happen. His passing was sudden and unexpected, and our family is still trying to process the shock and heartbreak of losing him so quickly.
Since August, he had been in and out of hospitals and care centers while working toward coming home. Through it all, he remained strong, and we remained hopeful. We were ready for him to finally be home with his family.
I am raising money to help with funeral expenses as we lay my grandpa to rest and honor his life.
Any donation, share, or prayer means more than words can express during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping me honor My grandpa. He was deeply loved, and he will always be remembered.
