Con todo el dolor de mi corazón comparto el fallecimiento de mi querida tía, Magdalena Lucas Méndez. Rodeada de su familia, amor y oración, partió de este mundo ala presencia de Dios Nuestro Señor a las 9:45 PM del 1 de julio, solo un mes después de haber cumplido 39 años.

En febrero de 2024, a Magdalena le diagnosticaron cáncer de colon en etapa 4 con metástasis. Los meses que siguieron fueron un camino largo, doloroso y lleno de altibajos—con innumerables desafíos, retrocesos y momentos de profundo dolor. Aun así, luchó incansablemente hasta el final.

Deja atrás a su amado esposo, Sergio, y a sus hermosos hijos: Sergio Jr. (18), Joel (16), Isabella (4) y Mateo (1). Será profundamente extrañada y amorosamente recordada por su esposo, sus hijos e hija, padres, hermanos y hermanas, cuñados y cuñadas, sobrinas y sobrinos, familia extendida y amigos.

Con humildad pedimos su apoyo para ayudar a cubrir los gastos médicos y funerarios. Cualquier fondo restante será destinado directamente a apoyar a su familia en este momento tan difícil.

Aunque no recibimos el milagro de la vida terrenal, recibimos el milagro de la vida eterna. Encontramos consuelo en saber que ya no sufre y ha encontrado la paz. Por favor, abracen un poco más fuerte a sus seres queridos hoy. El tiempo es valioso y nunca está garantizado.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I share the passing of my beloved aunt, Magdalena Lucas Méndez. Surrounded by her family, love, and prayer, she peacefully departed this world to be in the presence of God at 9:45 PM on July 1st, just one month after celebrating her 39th birthday.

In February 2024, Magdalena was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. The months that followed were a long, painful, and bumpy road—filled with countless challenges, setbacks, and heartache. Yet she fought tirelessly until the very end.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Sergio, and their beautiful children: Sergio Jr. (18), Joel (16), Isabella (4), and Mateo (1). She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, children, parents, brothers and sisters, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and all those who had the great privilege to know her.

Although we did not receive the miracle of earthly life, we received the miracle of eternal life. We find comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and has found peace. Please hold your loved ones a little closer today. Time is precious and never promised.
