It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news that on January 12, 2026, our beloved mother, Maria Guadalupe Sanchez, lovingly known as “Lupita,” passed away. On Christmas day we took our mother to the hospital due to a new and sudden pain in her abdomen. A few days after New Year’s Eve, our mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer that had metastasized to her liver. We never imagined that just a few days later, we would be saying goodbye to her. Her sudden diagnosis and passing have left her family, and friends heartbroken and struggling to find the words to express our grief.
As many of you know, our mother raised me and my two siblings on her own after our father passed away. From a young age, my siblings and I learned about loss, but it was our mother’s unwavering love that carried us forward. Despite the many challenges she faced as a widowed mother, she made countless sacrifices to ensure that we had everything we needed, especially the opportunity for an education and a better future. Our mother loved us with a love beyond words. Her kindness, strength, resilience, and deep faith in God will forever live on in our hearts and in the hearts of all who knew her.
Our mother’s sudden passing has left our family facing unexpected funeral and memorial expenses. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease this financial burden and allow our family the space to grieve while honoring her life and beautiful legacy.

Con nuestros corazones pesados compartimos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida madre, María Guadalupe Sánchez, cariñosamente conocida como "Lupita", el 12 de enero de 2026. El día de Navidad, llevamos nuestra madre al hospital debido a un repentino dolor abdominal. Unos días después de Año Nuevo, le diagnosticaron cáncer en etapa 4 con metástasis en el hígado. Nunca imaginamos que tan solo unos días después, nos despediríamos de ella. Su repentino diagnóstico y fallecimiento han dejado a nuestra familia y amigos sin palabras para expresar nuestro dolor.
Como muchos saben, nuestra madre nos crio a mí y a mis dos hermanos sola tras el fallecimiento de nuestro padre. Desde pequeños, mis hermanos y yo aprendimos sobre el duelo de perder a un padre, pero fue su amor inquebrantable lo que nos impulsó a seguir adelante. A pesar de los muchos desafíos que enfrentó como madre viuda, hizo innumerables sacrificios para asegurarnos de que tuviéramos todo lo que necesitábamos, especialmente la oportunidad de una educación y un futuro mejor. Nuestra madre nos amó con un amor indescriptible. Su cariño, fortaleza, resiliencia y profunda fe en Dios vivirán por siempre en nuestros corazones y en los de quienes la conocieron.
El repentino fallecimiento de nuestra madre ha dejado a nuestra familia con gastos funerarios y conmemorativos inesperados. Cualquier contribución, sin importar la cantidad, ayudará y permitirá a nuestra familia tener el espacio para honrar su vida y su hermoso legado.
