We are heartbroken to share that Luke Bustin passed away on April 14th at just 42 years old after a long and courageous fight with melanoma. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend — someone whose quiet strength, kindness, and humor touched so many lives.

As many of you know, Luke was self-employed and worked tirelessly to support his family. During his illness, he was graciously supported by our community—support that meant so much to him and his family. Unfortunately, the costs of an intense and challenging illness, combined with the shock of a diagnosis at such a young age, left little time or opportunity to prepare for what lay ahead. Due to the unforeseen nature of his illness and its rapid progression, Luke, like many at his stage in life, did not have financial preparation in place for such expenses. In the midst of this unimaginable loss, we’re coming together to help Luke’s family cover the financial burden of saying goodbye.

We are once again reaching out to our community, friends, and extended family for support. Any contribution—no matter the amount—will go directly toward covering the costs of Luke’s funeral. Should we receive more than what is needed, all additional funds will go directly to his wife, Sarah, to help her maintain their home and support herself during this incredibly difficult time as she adjusts to life on her own.

Your kindness, generosity, and even just sharing this message mean more than words can express. Thank you for standing with us as we honor Luke’s life and legacy. It would have meant so much to him to know that his family is being cared for and not left carrying the weight alone as they grieve.
