My name is Alex and I am close friends with Paige and Jake. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of them and their family after the heartbreaking and unexpected loss of their 8-month-old son, Louie.

Louie was the most perfect, beautiful little boy who never stopped smiling. He was such a blessing and truly completed their family. In his short eight months of life, he brought so much love and happiness to the people around him. There are simply no words to express the heartbreak of having to say goodbye to someone so little and so loved.

Louie suffered a respiratory arrest followed by cardiac arrest while at daycare. He was Life Flighted to Children's Hospital, where he spent three nights in the PICU undergoing lots of tests and receiving the best care possible. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to precious Louie on Friday.

I’m hoping to help take some of the financial stress off their shoulders as they navigate the days, weeks, and years ahead. Between the medical expenses, cost of the Life Flight, funeral/memorial costs, time away from work, and the ongoing cost of grief therapy for them and their other children, I want them to be able to focus on grieving their sweet boy and being together as a family without having to worry quite as much about the financial side of things.
