We are heartbroken to share that on September 5th, 2021, we unexpectedly lost our beloved Lisa Marie Peabody.

 

Lisa Marie was such a force of nature. Her storytelling, humor, heart and beauty were infectious. She loved fiercely and lived fully. To have known her was a privilege and to be loved by her was an absolute gift. We lost a mother, daughter, sister, friend, and a darn good hair stylist.

 

Though we are absolutely devastated, we find hope and purpose when we look at her beautiful 16-year old boy she left behind, Luke "Buddha" Mejia. Luke was her greatest love and proudest achievement and she now lives on in him. We plan to support, protect, and cherish him just as his mother did.

 

Visitation will start at 5 pm, followed by a celebration of life at 7 pm on Friday, September 10th at Simkins Funeral home in Morton Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made toward the care and future of her son, Luke and his guardian, Debra Jordan.
