In Loving Memory of Linda Carol Black Perez

The Dungca Family is saddened to announce the passing of Linda Carol Black Perez, which happened on April 12th, 2025. Linda was a determined and loving mother, an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, a caring grandmother, great-grandmother, and a close friend to many.

Linda was born in Guam and eventually moved to the States with her family. In the States, she continued to be a part of the community through culture by being an active member and contributor to the Women's Chamorro Club in the Bay Area. Linda had impacted the lives of everyone that she had ever met. With also being one of the eldest in the family, a lot of the responsibility was handed onto her. She encountered and faced so much in her life while also being able to raise a beautiful family.

Linda was the one who brought her family together by feeding us, cleaning us, loving us, and by simply being there for us. She was selfless, always putting those around her first.

Before Linda passed, she was surrounded by the people who truly loved her. Some may not have been physically present; nevertheless, Linda was still able to hear their voices before she went, even if it was just through a phone call.

A few years ago, Linda was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, a progressive disease that affects memory and mental functions. This made life harder for her and those around her; however, her family continued to remain positive and ensure that she knew she was and always will be loved. Linda will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.

That said, we ask that you share your hearts with us, as well as your support. Whether you're a friend, family member, someone who knew Linda, or maybe someone who didn't, we ask that you help us in any way possible. The funds raised will help offset the costs of any service expenses for Linda's family. Any help would be appreciated to support the Dungca Family with this sudden and heartbreaking loss during this time of healing.
