On April 20, 2026, we said goodbye to someone who meant so much to our family. Lidia passed away after fighting so hard through complications following her lung transplant in February. Even through everything she went through, she never lost her strength or her sense of humor..That was just who she was.
She leaves behind her two children, Edgar and Mariajose, her three grandchildren who loved her so much, and many family members and friends who adored her deeply.
I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my fiance, Edgar, and my sister-n-law to help ease some of the financial stress on her children while they take time away from work, help with funeral expenses and to grieve and be together as a family. Our hope is that they can focus on healing and honoring their mom without having to carry extra worry right now. ❤️

El 20 de abril de 2026 nos despedimos de alguien que significó muchísimo para nuestra familia. Lidia falleció después de luchar con tanta fuerza contra las complicaciones que tuvo tras su trasplante de pulmón en febrero. A pesar de todo lo que pasó, nunca perdió su fortaleza ni su sentido del humor. Así era ella.
Deja a sus dos hijos, Edgar y Mariajose, a sus tres nietos que la amaban profundamente, y a muchos familiares y amigos que la adoraban mucho.
Estoy creando este GoFundMe en nombre de mi prometido, Edgar, y de mi cuñada para ayudar a aliviar un poco la carga económica de sus hijos durante este momento tan difícil, apoyar con los gastos funerarios y permitirles tomar tiempo fuera del trabajo para poder estar juntos como familia y vivir su duelo. Nuestra esperanza es que puedan enfocarse en sanar y honrar la vida de su mamá sin tener preocupaciones adicionales en este momento. ❤️
