In Loving Memory of Leteyesus Yebeyo Timeteyos
April 1, 1962 – April 19, 2026
“I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.”
Psalm 118:17
We honor and remember the life of Leteyesus Yebeyo Timeteyos, trusting in God’s promise of eternal life. She was a beloved daughter of Yebiyo Timetewo Yohannes and Amleset Daniel Fikak, a devoted wife to Kibrom Himed Hiabu, whom she married on January 24, 1988. Together, they shared 38 years of love, partnership, and devotion, and were blessed with their children, Yordanos, Mussie, Tiebe, and Henok, whom she loved deeply and raised with unwavering care.
Born as one of ten children and the second oldest, Leteyesus carried a deep sense of responsibility from a young age. She lived out the values of compassion, perseverance, and care for others in all that she did.
She was a cherished sister to Miheret, Timeteyos, Hose, Samuel, Adhanet, Irhet, Dawit, Rahel, and Berhan, a beloved aunt, and a dear friend. Her life reflected kindness, humility, and a heart that welcomed others with warmth and grace.
In pursuit of a better future for her family, she courageously moved to the United States on September 28, 1993. Through hard work, sacrifice, and God-given strength, she built a life rooted in love and service. In her work as a housekeeper, she carried herself with dignity and quiet strength, always giving her best.
Her faith in God was the foundation of her life. She found strength and peace in the Lutheran church and held especially close the church her grandfather envisioned and her father built on their family land, a sacred place that connected generations and deepened her faith.
She found joy in God’s blessings all around her, especially in watching children play soccer and celebrating their happiness. In recent years, she treasured returning to her homeland, spending time in her village and in her father’s garden, where she felt deeply connected to her roots and to God’s creation.
Above all, she loved her children beyond measure. They were her greatest blessing and purpose. She lived selflessly, reflecting Christ’s love through her care, generosity, and devotion to her family and community.
Though we grieve, we do not grieve without hope. We give thanks to God for the gift of her life and the love she shared so freely. We trust that she now rests in His eternal peace and that her legacy lives on through the faith she carried and the family she nurtured.
We ask first and foremost for your prayers during this difficult time. Any contribution is sincerely appreciated, and all funds raised will go directly to supporting her family.
May she rest in eternal peace, held in the grace of God. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
