This past weekend, our friends Chantel and Nathan experienced an unimaginable heartbreak — their beloved dog, Lemmie, passed away suddenly at just 4 years old.

Lemmie was their entire world. She was the happiest adventure buddy — always up for camping trips, walkies, and hanging out with her best doggie friends in the neighbourhood. Her playful spirit and sweet nature brought joy to everyone she met.

Her passing was sudden and unexpected due to an urgent medical emergency, the root cause of which is still unknown. In the days leading up to her passing, Chantel and Nathan did everything they could to save her, but despite their efforts, they were left saying goodbye far too soon.

Along with the emotional toll, they now face thousands of dollars in unexpected veterinary bills. Chantel and Nathan are the type of people who show up for others without hesitation — the kind of friends and neighbours who are always first to help when someone is in need.

Now, we have the chance to show up for them.
