In Loving Memory of Leigh Cousens
It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic passing of Leigh Cousens, aged 42, who was taken far too soon on Thursday, 17 April 2025.
Leigh was involved in a fatal accident while riding his motorbike, a Suzuki GSX-S1000. He collided with a small bus at the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and George Street, Kippa-Ring, while on his way to meet a friend for an afternoon catch-up ahead of the Easter weekend. Tragically, Leigh never made it to his destination.
Leigh was a much-loved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, and he leaves behind a community of people who are devastated by his sudden and heartbreaking loss. He was known for his kind heart, loyal spirit, and the genuine connections he formed with so many in both the bike and car communities, as well as in the local area where he grew up. His presence and personality left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
This fundraiser has been created to help support Leigh’s family with funeral expenses and any associated costs, allowing them the time and space to grieve without the added financial burden. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and is deeply appreciated during this incredibly difficult time.
