Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,

Losing a loved one is never easy, especially when caught off guard. As we all know, Ms. Altheimer-Booker is a dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic educator. While away on a weekend field trip with her students, she received the unfortunate news on Sunday morning that her high school sweetheart and husband of 20 years unexpectedly passed away. This was devastating news, especially since he recently won a battle with cancer.

If you knew LeDon Booker, you know that he was a fun-loving, generous man who loved to cook and adored his family. They have two amazing sons. Their oldest child received his doctoral degree in dentistry on May 12, 2023. Their youngest son will continue to strive as a scholar and athlete in high school. LaDon was a devoted husband and father who worked hard to support his family. Unfortunately, his passing has left his family struggling both emotionally and financially.

Her family has touched the lives of so many people, and it’s our turn to give back in their time of need. As a community, we want to come together to support them in any way we can. We have set up this GoFundMe page to help raise funds for Ms. Altheimer-Booker as they navigate this difficult period. The funds raised will help cover the costs of funeral expenses and provide financial assistance to Ms. Altheimer-Booker and her children as they navigate this difficult period.
