It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the devestating loss of Lavanya Chappa, who was tragically murdered by her husband due to domestic voilence on 7 July 2026 in Melbourne and It's all over the News.

Lavanya was a loving mother, a cherished daughter, a devoted family member, a valued colleague, and a dear friend to so many. She worked as a Software Quality Analyst at Civica Asia Pacific, where she was respected for her professionalism, dedication, and kind-hearted nature. She will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the positive impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Above all, Lavanya was a devoted mother to her beloved children, (13) and (7). They now face an unimaginable future without their mother’s comforting presence, guidance, unconditional love, and the countless dreams she held for them.

This GoFundMe has been created by Lavanya’s family and close friends to support children and during this incredibly difficult time. The funds raised will help provide for their immediate and long-term needs, including their care and other essential support as they begin to navigate life ahead. A portion of the funds may also be used to assist with funeral and memorial expenses, helping ensure Lavanya is honoured with the dignity and love she deserves.
