I am the daughter of Laurel Straker, and I am heartbroken to share that my mom, Laurel Straker, a cherished mother, loving wife, and beloved member of our community, has passed away. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched all who knew her.

My mom was known for always brightening up everyone's day with her smile, hilarious jokes, and unwavering care for others. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved. Her legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and unwavering support for her family and friends. One of our favorite memories is how she always loved to smile, no matter what, and showed concern for others or assisted them in times of need. My mom loved to make jokes, go to Zumba, travel with her husband, go to church every Sunday, and sing gospel songs. She loved inviting others to her church. My mom would give her last dime to help anyone and always found ways to assist others in any way she could. If you were upset, she would always show you the positive aspects of life and comfort you with her smile. She loved socializing and checking on her close friends every day, including her mom, sister, cousin, daughter, husband, and friends.

The funds raised will be used to cover the funeral costs, memorial services, and any additional support our family may need during this difficult time. We want to give my mom (Laurel Straker) the beautiful tribute she deserves.
