In loving memory of Laura Flagg-Pitts

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart to share with you the passing of Laura Flagg-Pitts on the morning of 1/10/2024. Born in Detroit and grew up in West Point, New York, she fell in love with Ballet at a very early age. Attending Professional Children's School and moving on to School of American Ballet. Later, after a very successful career with the New York City Ballet and traveling the world with her husband, Bryan Pitts, they settled down in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is survived by her two sons Christian (Stephanie), and Kallen (Molly), her grandchildren Elijah, Rylynn, and Remy, as well as her sister Elise Flagg.

In the embrace of Laura's final days, those caring for her expressed the profound love they felt for her. She wasn't just a beautiful dancer, but an empathetic teacher, and a devoted friend, but above all, the one thing she loved the most was being a mother. Laura embodied a radiant spirit with an unparalleled heart that extended boundlessly to everyone she encountered. Her love ran deep, rooted in a faith that held her steadfast.

For those who knew her intimately, Laura's stubbornness was legendary— a force of nature that left an indelible mark. Yet, it was this unwavering spirit that allowed her to dance to the beat of her own drum in the most enchanting way. Her influence reached far and wide, touching countless lives with her caring and genuine nature.

To commemorate Laura's extraordinary life, we invite you to share your cherished stories and memories with us, either through direct messages to Kallen Pitts on Facebook or on her Memorial post. Your words will contribute to a tapestry of remembrance that reflects the impact she had on those around her.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for your support through donations in Laura's name. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated by all. These contributions will go towards burial costs, the memorial, and the plot, ensuring that her final resting place is a fitting tribute to the beautiful soul she was. Thank you for being a part of honoring Laura's memory and supporting her loved ones during this challenging time.

There will be a memorial service held for Laura in the upcoming weeks, which we will post about once we have more information.
