In Memory of Keith Clegg

It is hard to find the words when a family loses someone who was such a huge part of their world.

On Friday, September 25, Keith Clegg was taken from his family in a tragic accident.

Keith was a husband. A dad. A papa. A son. A brother. A friend. But to Lisa and their children, Nathan, Nickolas, James, Ashley, and Justin, he was so much more.

Keith and Lisa found each other when they were young. What began as teenage love grew into young adulthood, parenthood, and eventually a beautiful family of their own. For nearly 30 years, they shared a love and friendship that many people are fortunate enough to experience once in a lifetime.

Keith was honored to have many titles throughout his life, but his greatest title was always Dad.

His family was his greatest accomplishment. Anyone who knew Keith knew how deeply he loved Lisa, his children, and his grandchildren. They were his world.

Now Lisa and the kids are facing a future they never imagined having to navigate without him. Along with the overwhelming grief of losing their husband, dad, and the patriarch of their family, they are also facing the long-term financial burden that comes with such an unexpected and devastating loss.

I am asking our family, friends, and community to come together for the Clegg family during this unimaginable time.

Every donation will go directly to Lisa and the family to help them navigate the financial challenges ahead, including funeral and burial expenses, the loss of Keith’s income, household bills, counseling, and other needs that may arise as they try to rebuild their lives around this tremendous loss.

There is no amount that can fill the space Keith leaves behind. But together, we can help take some of the financial weight off Lisa and the kids so they can focus on what matters most right now: grieving, healing, and being there for one another.

And if you are unable to donate, please don’t feel that you have nothing to give. Sharing this fundraiser, sending a message, making a phone call, sitting beside someone, or simply keeping the Clegg family in your thoughts means more than you may ever know.

Keith’s family will have so many moments when they would give anything for one more phone call, one more hug, one more laugh, or even one more ordinary day together.

So while we are here, let’s remember what Keith’s life teaches us.

Say “I love you.”

Forgive where forgiveness is needed.

Sit a little longer.

Listen to the stories.

And cherish the people we are blessed enough to still have beside us.
