With my brother and his wife’s permission, I am starting this GoFundMe to help support their family as they move forward through this unimaginable loss.

We are heartbroken to share the tragic passing of our sweet Kason James Madsen, who left us far too soon on March 11, 2026.

At just 13 years old, Kason was an extraordinary son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. His kind heart and loving spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Kason had the biggest heart and was always thinking about the happiness and well-being of those around him. Though his time on this earth was far too short, the love he shared and the impact he made will continue to be felt for years to come.

As my brother and his family begin the difficult journey of navigating life without their sweet Kason, Kelsey and Lori are already thinking about how to honor his life by helping others. Donations here, will not only support them moving forward, but will also help promote a non profit that they will be starting in the future.

This nonprofit will focus on helping children and teens who may be struggling with things such as bullying, loneliness, anxiety, depression, difficult home lives, or a lack of support. Their hope is to create a safe place where youth can come to spend time, feel accepted, and open up about what they are going through.
