Karen L. Barry passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2020 at Mt. Auburn Hospital from complications of heart disease. She was 62 years young. She leaves behind her son David of Seekonk, daughter Melissa of Waltham, and brother Timothy McHugh of Billerica. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jasmine, Keira and Bella Quinones of Waltham, Jameson Barry of Franklin and Ava Barry of Maynard. They will all miss her dearly.
Karen was born and raised in Waltham, MA, where she has many friends and extended family. She was genuinely one of the nicest people you could meet. She was a kind, giving person, who loved animals of all types. She even had a special place in her heart for neighborhood squirrels which she fed to the dismay of her children & neighbors. She was a faithful Red Sox fan, who would even listen to games on the radio when she couldn't watch on TV or get to Fenway, as she looked forward to every year for her birthday. She volunteered her time to local animal shelters whenever she could. She was always giving even when she didn't have much herself.
We hope to raise enough money to pay for funeral expenses to lessen the financial burden on her children as she did not have a life insurance policy, nor burial arrangements set up. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
