On Sunday, November 23, 2025, Kamara was on her way home to Maryland from college to celebrate Thanksgiving with her family, when she was involved in a tragic car accident. On Saturday, November 29th, 2025 our beloved Kamara succumbed to her injuries, bringing to a close her journey in this life with us.

Kamara’s name has several meanings, including "teacher" and "wise one." During her 21 years on this earth she embodied exactly that - she taught us to love, to give, to stay focused and to have gratitude. Her full first name is Chimkamara, which expresses confidence in God's Power and Protection.

Kamara was an intelligent, resourceful, confident and determined young woman, whose energy radiated everywhere she went. She was a Computer Science major at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC with plans to graduate in May 2026.

This unexpected loss has devastated Kamara’s friends and family, especially her parents and siblings. We are raising funds to support her family with ICU expenses, funeral home, internment and celebration of life services, and essential family needs.

We are grateful for every donation no matter the size, and we appreciate the prayers and outpouring of love we have received that give us light during this difficult time.

While Kamara is no longer with us physically, the love we have for her, and the love she has for us endures forever.
