What is there to say about Kali. She was ambitious and full of life. One of the firsts to say yes to spontaneity, embracing the world with open arms and travelling across to globe to take everything in. Kali was incredibly smart, and someone you could turn to for advice. She worked incredibly hard and never shied away from a challenge. Though she worked hard, she also played hard and brought so much joy in the world with her dance moves, love for music and her cheeky personality.

Now the world is a little less bright, as we share the heart breaking news that our incredible friend Kali suddenly passed.

Kali was deeply loved by everyone she knew - a wife to Brandon who she's been with since they were 15 - inseparable always. A new mother to Ruby, a beautiful 5 month old girl who now grows up without her. A loving daughter to Jennifer (Nityankuri) and Wayne (Krishna), who now face a parents worst nightmare - outliving their daughter. A sister to Matt and his wife Morgan, the newest (but not so new) member of the Blundell family, Sam, Josh and Maddie, and an incredible friend to our girl group from primary and high school. Her loss has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of all who loved her.

Kali was on maternity leave, meant to be one of the most joyous occasions when she suffered a brain aneurysm. She continued to fight for over a week being cared by an incredible team of Doctors and Nurses, but unfortunately couldn't fight anymore. Brandon and Ruby should have so many more years with Kali, and now face an incredibly heart breaking new reality without her here.

Kali’s impact on the world was felt even in her last days. As the incredible person she is, she donated her organs to either save a life or give a new lease of life for more than 5 people.

We are raising funds to help ease some of the financial burden during this time - to cover funeral and medical costs, and to support B so he can take the time he needs to grieve and care for Ruby, and begin to navigate this world without his soulmate.
