We never thought we’d have to write something like this.
On the 4th of February, we lost our brother Kaine, aged just 30. He leaves behind his family and loved ones, including his three-month-old baby girl, Olive, who was his whole world. Kaine was an incredible brother, a devoted son, and the kind of person who made everyone feel seen and loved. Our hearts are completely broken.
Just over five weeks ago, Kaine was diagnosed with linitis plastica, a rare and aggressive cancer. By the time we were told, it was already too late. Even knowing that, Kaine never stopped fighting. He showed strength we can’t put into words and gave it absolutely everything he had right until the end.
Kaine was an incredible dad. From the moment Olive was born, she became his reason for everything. The love he had for her was instant, pure, and overwhelming. Even in such a short time, the bond they shared was so special, and she will grow up knowing just how much her daddy loved her.
As our brother and as a son, Kaine was simply the best. He was the light in every room — the one who made everyone laugh, who checked in on people, who always showed up. He cared deeply, loved fiercely, and put others before himself without ever thinking twice. Our family revolved around him more than we ever realised.
Kaine was so loved by so many, and he gave that love back tenfold. Losing him has left a hole in our lives that will never be filled.
This page has been created to honour Kaine and to offer support in any way people feel able — towards funeral arrangements, towards Olive’s future, and with a portion going to a cancer charity in Kaine’s name. Any support, in any form, is received with so much gratitude and love.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our brother and for helping us remember a truly special man taken far too soon.
Forever 30. Forever loved.
Rest easy, Kaine
We will miss you so much x
