In Loving Memory of Hyung Soo Kim

Ever since my dad was young, he was a very thoughtful and giving family man who always cared for my mom, sister and me before himself. My dad was such a genuine person with those around him, whether they were his friends or family. He worked hard and made sacrifices so that we may live a better life. He knew how to love each of us to his fullest potential. No matter the circumstances, he sacrificed his time and effort to give his family a better life.

In May of 2021, he was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gherig's Disease), but due to the severity of his symptoms, we admitted him to the hospital on November 16th, 2021. He could not walk, speak, move his body, and eat for the remaining nine months of his life.

Even though his health started to decline, he never gave up and tried to stay positive in all circumstances. He always tried to smile whenever we visited and stayed next to him. Sadly, on August 17th, 2022, my dad took his last breath after a long battle, and Heaven gained an Angel.

Now that he has passed, we will not be able to see that smile anymore. But, we know now that he is resting easily and is no longer suffering.

With the help of our friends and family, we hope to receive assistance for out-of-pocket expenses, medical bills, and funeral costs that we can’t shoulder alone. We appreciate every donation which will help us financially get through these grieving times.

Rest easy to the man who loved and cared for my mother, sister and I until his last breath. We love you so much!
