Julio and I became great friends over 25 years ago while working on a job with Godsell Construction. We've worked on so many jobsites together over the years including his recent move to NYCHA in Manhatten over a year ago . He was so happy to land this job which allowed him to spend more time with his family. He loved the new job and the guys he worked with. Everyone loved Jay as well. He was a proud and hard working union man.

Julio lost his battle with COVID after weeks in the hospital. All I wanted was for him to be home in time for Christmas for his son and wife.
As hard as it will be for me not to speak to him everyday, I can't imagine how difficult the days to come will be for his wife Valerie and son Derek. Anything you can donate to help will be greatly appreciated.
I love you Brother. I can't wrap my head around this. I cannot believe you are gone. I will miss you every day as will so many others. I hope you found a better place than here. Rest in Peace.
