On the evening of May 5th, 2021, we unexpectedly lost our grandmother Judy Nettles.
Her daughter who she lives with, Sherrie Nettles, walked into the living room to begin preparing dinner for her and found her unresponsive on the floor. Emergency services arrived at the house quickly and determined that a coroner was needed. The cause of her sudden passing is still unknown at this time.
She was the sweetest hippy grandma to me, Devon, and Brandie. She was a second mom to us three, we all lived with her throughout school and during our adult lives. All of our friends loved seeing her when they'd visit. She would always chitchat with them and lovingly call her grandma. She was the most nurturing woman, and would be willing to give you the shirt off of her back if she thought you needed it.
Grandma's sudden passing has taken us all by surprise. Our family is in an extremely tight spot as no prior arrangements were made, and she did not have a life insurance policy in place. We're currently undecided on service arrangements as we're strictly financially bound by what we can do, and we want to give grandma the best service possible. Additionally, we may have to hire a lawyer in order to keep her home in the possession of our family due to some complicated circumstances surrounding it, which will be a significant cost in its own right. Any and all proceeds will go directly to funding both the service and legal fees, and would be greatly appreciated by our entire family.
Rest in peace Grama. You will be missed each and every day.
