On May 29th, our beloved family member Juan Gudino was shot and killed by a total stranger. The shooting was unprovoked and resulted in a long swat standoff. In the end, the killer was shot down by police after he threatened swat and raised his gun instead of surrendering. Juan Gudino left behind a wife and 4 kids, his youngest being only 13 years old. The medical bills from the incident alone left the family with a debt of over $35,000, on top of funeral expenses and the regular household bills.  He was a good Christian man. His faith was to be admired by many. Sadly, he was the sole bread winner for his family. He worked tireless hours to care for his immediate family as well as his church family and anyone who he knew to be in need. This tragedy has left a tremendous hole for the family, not only emotionally but financially as well.

This is why, with great grief and reservation, we are now hoping and asking for financial help. All money raised will go to Juan’s family and children to help through these difficult times, as they work to create a long-term plan in the absence of Juan, who was so tragically and unexpectedly torn from their lives.
