In loving memory of Joseph (Joe) Pluguez

Friends and Family-

On August 14, 2021, Joseph Rafael Pluguez, 38, unexpectedly passed away in a motorcycle accident.

Joe, a senior student studying Aerospace Physics at Metropolitan State University, will be deeply missed. While many will remember Joe for his contagious smile, warm long hugs and "live life to the fullest" attitude, those closest to him will treasure their memory of his soft heart and calming presence.

A true motorhead, some of Joe's passions included flying (Joe was a licensed pilot), riding one of his two motorcycles, or restoring his prized 3000GT. If it had an engine, Joe could drive it....or ride it....or fix it....or talk about it endlessly. Other hobbies included working on his marksmanship or tending to his plants/garden. Few know.....Joe truly had a green thumb! He also loved to explore new places, especially those with warm weather and a beach.

While Joe's childhood dream of becoming an entomologist (not a joke....look it up....haha) faded with age, he looked forward to a future career as an airline pilot. Many weekends were spent completing the final few classes of his degree or accumulating the necessary flight hours. For the last decade, Joe was a welder fabricator at Sundyne in Arvada.

Joe leaves behind his father, Michael Pluguez Sr., brother, Michael Pluguez, his girlfriend, Elizabeth Lightfritz, dearest friends & Sundyne work family.

We are currently asking for donations to cover the expenses associated with Joe's funeral and memorial service. Including, the release of his ashes from an airplane (as we all know, he would have loved). While we have a goal of $5,000, please know, any amount will help and will be greatly appreciated
