In loving memory of Jose Quizhpi

It was recently, in December, that I received a visit from a gentleman who has been employed at Monte's Trattoria for 30+ years. He simply stopped by to say hello along with Christmas treats for my 4 children.
This thoughtfulness did not surprise me because as a child I recall him working at Monte's proudly sharing family pictures and accomplishments about his 4 children. Most of all he loved reminiscing about family trips to his native country of Ecuador. SADLY, the Christmas visit was the last time I saw him.
Today, the heartbreaking news of our most tenured employee and friend, Jose Quizhpi passed away from his battle with Covid a few days ago.
Jose is survived by his loving wife Maria Rivas and four beautiful children Monica, Blanca, Joanna and Jose Jr.
