Our family is facing an unimaginable loss.

Jose Anselmo Medrano, born January 21, 2017, was a beloved child.In September 2023, Jose was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain cancer called Diffuse Leptomeningeal Glioneuronal Tumor. Since his diagnosis, Jose has bravely endured multiple rounds of treatment, including radiation and extensive neurosurgery. Despite every effort, there are no longer any treatment options available.

Recently, Jose suffered a cardiac arrest and received comfort care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit .Jose’s condition was terminal and sadly passed away this morning. February 7th, 2026.
