In Loving Memory of Jorge Castillo
For those who didn’t know, Jorge was a truly special soul — loving, funny, and full of life. He was a devoted father, a caring partner, and someone who touched so many hearts with his presence. Jorge always had something to say — his “two cents” — but it was always said with wisdom, humor, and stories that stayed with you long after the conversation ended.
Jorge fought some incredibly hard battles with strength and courage. He overcame prostate cancer. He had surgery on his carotid artery and even pushed through a small stroke. But when he went in for open heart surgery, the unexpected happened. Shortly after the procedure, Jorge suffered a massive stroke that caused severe swelling in his brain. Despite every effort, the swelling continued. The damage became unrepairable, and eventually, he showed no signs of brain activity. He was officially pronounced brain dead.
These last few days have been unimaginably difficult for Sae and the entire family. Letting go of someone you love while their body is still warm, still breathing, still there, is a pain that no one can prepare for. Holding on to even the smallest glimpse of hope is something we all tried so hard to do. But on 11/10/2025, with heavy hearts, we let Jorge go so he could finally rest.
As we prepare to honor Jorge’s life, we are asking for support to help with funeral expenses, with services set for 12/07/2025. Anything you can give, no matter how small, will make a difference. Your generosity will help lift some of the weight off a grieving family during a time of heartbreak and unimaginable loss.
Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
