In Loving Memory of Jonathan Roberts

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Joel Aaron, a former police officer with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service representing the Batch of 1985 of which the late #12058 Johnathan Junior Roberts was a member. On behalf of his beloved family, we would like to pay tribute to Robbie who has recently transitioned unexpectedly.

Although this news is devasting and sudden, we want to shed some light on the joy he experienced prior to his passing. From the joy of his first walk outside after receiving the LVAD to lifting 5lbs in the gym. This eventually turned into longer walks, running on the treadmill, and more hours in the gym. It was during this time he went from 100 lbs to 190 lbs. In addition, he would spend hours on the phone with family and friends trying to ensure that his body and mind would be ready for a heart.

After nearly 18 months, on June 9th Johnny received his long-awaited heart in a 10.5 hours surgery, spanning 2 days. The transplant surgery was a success and his body accepted the heart. Unfortunately, Johnny suffered a massive stroke and never regained consciousness. We hoped and prayed for a miracle but after nearly 7 days of no brain activity, a final clinical exam was performed and he was declared clinically dead at 4:05 pm on June 17th. After the arrival of his mom from Trinidad, he was taken for his honor walk before completing his final wish; organ donation. He used his final acts to be selfless and donated his liver, pancreas, and kidneys to other people in need.

While we cannot put into words the pain that his family is enduring, we know that beyond his blood, he will be a memorable and loved member of many other families and communities both near and far. Those family bonds and life-long friendships will forever be cherished.

He was a member of Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive - Tobago '81, St. Mary’s College (CIC) - Trinidad. He also proudly served as an officer in the TTPS (Trinidad & Tobago Police Service) Batch of 1985. It was during this training at the then Police Training College, he developed a love for weight lifting which would later evolve into his passion and business, Nextlevelfitnezz.

Johnny eventually left his homeland for England to pursue University studies in Computer Science. He got married and had a son. He then moved to the U.S. and after some years in different cities, he finally settled in Louisville, KY. During his time there, he impacted many lives throughout the years, by helping others to achieve their health and wellness goals leading to a better way of life. He was well-known, loved, and respected as a coach/trainer and masseur, even serving on the Mayor of Louisville Health and Fitness Council. He developed lasting relationships at Planet Fitness located at 7450 Jefferson Blvd. Johnny was also a faithful member at Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and had a deep spiritual connection.

Johnny was well-loved and had the ability to make anyone he met feel like he had known them forever. He was the middle child of three siblings and the only boy, hence the name Prince. He was not ashamed to announce to all that he was a Mama’s Boy and remained that way to the end. He loved his mother dearly which was reflected in their relationship with each other. All that’s left now for his Mom, is the fond memories of her and her son dancing, singing, and praying together last thing at night.

The funds raised will go towards funeral expenses and any other needed services.

Thank you for any donations.
