On Sunday, October 12, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. Johnathan — known to many as John, or simply Nixon — passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest. He was only 47 years old and his passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Johnathan was so much more than his titles — a devoted father, loving husband, caring son, loyal brother, and kind friend. To his children, Keirnan (15) and Regan (13), he was their steady, funny, and protective dad who cheered them on in everything they did. To Tarrah, his wife, he was her rock — her best friend and constant source of love and support.

His sudden passing has left this beautiful family facing not only heartbreak but also the financial challenges that come with such an unexpected tragedy. We’ve started this GoFundMe to help ease the burden for Tarrah, Keirnan, and Regan as they navigate the difficult days ahead.

Funds will go toward immediate expenses and helping ensure stability and future education opportunities for Johnathan’s children as they adjust to life without their dad. Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and will make a meaningful difference to his family.

Johnathan will forever be remembered for his quiet strength, his insightful wit, his big heart, and the way he made every person around him feel seen and valued. Though the Nix Six — his five siblings and he — will never be whole again, his light continues to shine through his children, his family, and everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
