It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend, John Burke, after a courageous 20 year battle with stage-4 pancreatic cancer.
John received his diagnosis in the Fall of 2006 when he was just 36 years old, and during his two decade battle, he faced this unimaginable challenge with extraordinary courage, strength, and faith. Through it all, he remained a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Jen, and a deeply loving and dedicated father to his daughters, Ashley and Haley.
John embodied what it means to live a life driven by faith. He continued to serve his church, his community, and his family with unwavering grace and compassion to the very end.
John was a beloved colleague at Mohawk Industries where he never stopped working to financially support his family. He dedicated his time outside of work to mentoring young people and passionately using his own story to lift up others around him. As Camp Director for the Me-One Foundation, John touched and inspired the lives of so many, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing John knows how special he was. His kindness, resilience, and steadfast faith created a legacy that will continue to live on through his family and the many lives he changed.
As we come together to support Jen, Ashley, and Haley during this incredibly difficult time, we are raising funds to help cover medical expenses and ease the financial burden left behind. A 20 year battle with pancreatic cancer has led to large hospital bills and treatment expenses in excess of insurance plans. Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to give, please consider keeping the family in your thoughts and sharing this page with others.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity as we come together to give back to a family that has given so much to all of us.
