In loving memory of John Lowens
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Daisy and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for support during an incredibly difficult time.
My dad, my best friend, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the 19th April and we are trying to raise funds to help cover the costs of his funeral. Unfortunately there were no prior arrangements or insurance in place, and the costs are more than we are able to cover. In addition to this, me and his partner Diane have 4 weeks to completely empty his house and also cover the rent and bills, which has added a large amount of stress and financial burden.
Many of you will know my Dad as a kind, funny and friendly person and would always be there to help anyone in need - offering a hand, a kind word or anything else needed, and I hope a portion of that kindness can be returned to him with a send off he deserves.
My dad has given me more than I could ever repay and was my biggest supporter, my best friend and someone who was always there for me - No sacrifice was too big to ensure I had a better life and the chance to experience things he never got to. He was also a supportive and loving partner to Diane for many years and if you knew them, you would have seen that love and also rarely saw one without the other. Although I no longer get the chance to thank him for everything he has done for me and everyone in his life, I’m hoping to show a small amount of this gratitude with a funeral to match what an amazing person he was.
Any funds raised will go towards the cost of the funeral (currently quoted as £4300). Any additional funds will be used to cover rent and bills (around £800) and the cost of clearing the house quickly. If we are lucky enough to receive any donations more than what we need for bills, the remainder will be donated to The British Heart Foundation.
This has been a sudden and overwhelming loss, both emotionally and financially, and any support—no matter how small—would mean the world to me, Diane and our family. Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this time ❤️
